Many people, especially as they get older, end up needing surgery to fix things like knees, hips, and feet. Sometimes, these surgeries can’t be helped and have to do with how the body formed in the womb, but other injuries could have been helped. Here are some tips for what you can do to prevent injuries.

One of the best things you can do for your body is stretch out the muscles and ligaments on a regular basis. Too many people exercise without stretching. Any time your muscles are warmed up, take the opportunity to stretch them out. Even if they aren’t warmed up, you can stretch, but don’t push too hard. Muscles are like taffy; when they’re warm, you can stretch them much easier than if they’re cold, where they could just snap!

Stretching helps to give flexibility to your muscles, which can help prevent injuries that can occur when you push your muscles too hard.

Exercise

The next best thing you can do is to exercise your muscles. Exercise and stretching go hand in hand. Exercise strengthens the muscle so it can handle more without straining and stretching gives the muscle flexibility so it can move in more directions without snapping. Even if all you can handle is a 20-minute walk each day, any exercise is better than none. Work your way up slowly to prevent sore muscles.

Protecting your body is important. Try to find ways to exercise and stretch each and every day to make your muscles flexible and strong.

Well, to think of the extreme position as the first example is not a smart move. Take a look at a life where the individual does not focus on health and exercises. Despite these differences in philosophy, both sciences regard each other in a favorable light.
