Chiropractic Center Offers Free Care to First Responders

The Logan College of Chiropractic has announced that it will offer free services to first responders working in the St. Louis area. First responders include police officers, emergency vehicle drivers, firefighters, and other individuals who usually take some responsibility at accident and crime scenes.

First responders provide an essential service to their communities. They also put themselves in harm’s way so that other people can lead safer lives. Many of them become physically injured during their duties. Logan College of Chiropractic’s free service should help alleviate the struggles that they experience because of their demanding jobs.

Participating Logan centers include those in Webster Groves, south St. Louis County, Chesterfield, St. Peters, and St. Charles.

When first responders come to their first visit, they can expect a free consultation that includes a physical examination, several x-rays, a urinalysis, and blood work. The chiropractors will also gather information about the patient’s health history and family health history.

Providing all of these initial services gives the chiropractors enough information to recognize any treatments that might benefit the patient. It also makes it possible for them to diagnose the patient with any health concerns that the chiropractor or other health care professional should address.

Logan College of Chiropractic offers these free services as a way of thinking first responders for the essential work that they do for their communities. First responders who visit the centers have the opportunity to receive holistic treatments that do not use any drugs or surgeries. This allows the firefighters, police officers, emergency vehicle drivers, and other professionals to continue working without suffering side effects from intrusive medical procedures.

Many people claim that chiropractic treatments relieve neck and back pains. Chiropractors, however, also offer a wide range of services that treat complaints such as carpal tunnel, headaches, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia. Regular chiropractic treatments might even help individuals improve their eating and sleeping habits. The chiropractors can also suggest exercises that will improve the general well being of the first responders who take advantage of this opportunity.
